My Love Affair:

I love this program.  I love feeling stronger, and leaner, and more energetic.  I love fueling my body and learning tips to make each day a little bit easier than the previous days.  I love that there is no ending point, that this isn't a diet where I suffer for a period of time, only to celebrate with a huge meal and glass (bottle...s) of champagne for "making it through."

People - this stuff is FANTASTIC!!

I get to eat, a lot.  And it is balanced, so I'm not cutting out food groups.  I get my meat, my carbs, my sugars, my vegetables, my oils.  I feel full, and never deprived.  I make Instagram-worthy plated meals, sometimes for a week all at once.

I also get a GOOD workout that leaves me feeling stronger and leaner than before.  I can fit this in with my full time job, parenting a toddler (often alone - my husband travels a lot for work), sleeping 7 hours a night, a 30 minute - 1 hour commute each way depending on whether I drop off the toddler, and still feeling like I am not slacking in other areas of my life.  Sometimes my husband works out with me, sometimes my toddler laughs and crawls on me as I work out, sometimes I have the energy while the house is quiet and asleep to work out alone (this one is much less frequent).

I get to fuel my body in all of the right ways.  Balanced diet, water, exercise, sleep.

Here is my food for today, to get a glimpse into my world:

Breakfast:  coffee, scrambled egg whites with spinach and chicken sausage
Snack:  cucumbers, guacamole
Lunch:  spinach salad with tuna fish, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar
Snack:  Shakeology (more on this later), peach
Dinner:  brown rice, lentils, chicken
Dessert:  raspberries

I mean, wow!  And this was not even a usual favorite day - this was my "I'm tired and grabbing the first things I can think of" sort of day!!

I can't wait to share more about this with you - I love it all, and want to shout it from the rooftops!!  Come on this journey with me, and we'll have so much fun, I promise!
